Fox Partners With House Intelligence Committee For WWE/Impeachment Hearing Crossover Event

The only differences between an impeachment hearing and a professional wrestling match are the degree of exposed skin and the quality of the pyrotechnics. It’s natural then that on the day of the first public impeachment hearing Fox would announce a new WWE crossover event called “Impeachment Apocalypse.”

The match is a tag team event between The Democratic Duo of “Fancy Nancy” Pelosi and Adam Schiff, wrestling as “Night Schiff,” and Team Trump, which consists of Donald Trump as “Agent Orange” and Rudy Giuliani, who will be assuming the throwback identity of “America’s Mayor.” Team Trump is fighting for a chance to go head to head against “The Whistleblower” and the opportunity to unmask their mysterious adversary.

Although the match is billed as a straightforward 2v2 tag team, WWE has teased a couple guest appearances. Joe Biden, embracing one of the more catchy nicknames Trump has given him, will appear as “Quid Pro Joe,” whose affinity lies with the Democratic Duo. Team Trump’s guest wrestler is Mike Pence, whose WWE identity “Mike Pounce” was accidentally leaked in September by the president during a press conference. At the time, the media confused the moniker for a mispronunciation of the vice president’s name, when in reality it was a slip up by Trump after hours of Team Trump intro rehearsals earlier that day.

You can catch Impeachment Apocalypse during Friday Night SmackDown this Friday at 8e/7c on your local Fox station.
